Once upon a time, there was a sweet little girl called Little Red Riding Hood because she always wore a beautiful red hooded cloak made by her grandmother. One day, her mother asked her to take a basket of goodies to her grandmother, who was feeling ill and lived in a cottage in the forest.
Before she left, her mother warned her:
— Stay on the path and don’t talk to strangers.
Little Red Riding Hood set off happily, but soon she met a sly wolf in the forest.
— Where are you going, little girl? — the wolf asked.
— I’m going to visit my grandmother who lives in a cottage in the forest — she replied.
The wolf, being cunning, had a plan. He suggested:
— Why don’t you pick some flowers for your grandmother?
Little Red Riding Hood thought it was a great idea and wandered off the path to pick some flowers. Meanwhile, the wolf ran straight to the grandmother’s cottage. He knocked on the door and, pretending to be Little Red Riding Hood, he said:
— It’s me, Little Red Riding Hood. I’ve brought you some goodies.
The kind grandmother invited him in. But the wicked wolf jumped up and locked her in the closet. Then, he put on her nightgown and cap, and climbed into her bed.
When Little Red Riding Hood arrived at the cottage, she was surprised to see her grandmother looking so strange.
— Oh, Grandma, what big eyes you have! — she exclaimed.
— All the better to see you with, my dear — said the wolf.
— Oh, Grandma, what big ears you have! — she continued.
— All the better to hear you with, my dear — replied the wolf.
— Oh, Grandma, what big teeth you have! — she said.
— All the better to eat you with! — roared the wolf, and he jumped out of the bed to grab her.
Little Red Riding Hood screamed for help. Luckily, a kind woodcutter was nearby and heard her. He rushed into the cottage and chased the wolf away, saving Little Red Riding Hood and her grandmother.
From that day on, Little Red Riding Hood always remembered her mother’s advice and never strayed from the path again.
The End.
The moral of the story Little Red Riding Hood is to always follow directions and be cautious of strangers to stay safe.
