Once upon a time, in a distant kingdom, a king and queen longed to have a child. After many years of waiting, a beautiful princess was finally born, and they named her Aurora. To celebrate her birth, the king and queen organized a grand party and invited everyone in the kingdom, including three good fairies: Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather.
Each fairy gave the princess a magical gift. Flora blessed her with beauty, Fauna blessed her with a charming voice, and just as Merryweather was about to give her gift, an evil fairy named Maleficent appeared, furious for not being invited to the party.
Maleficent cast a terrible curse:
— On her 16th birthday, Princess Aurora will prick her finger on a spindle and fall into a deep sleep from which she will never awaken!
Everyone was horrified, but Merryweather, who had not yet given her gift, softened the curse:
— Aurora will not die, but will fall into a deep sleep. Only the kiss of true love can wake her.
To protect Aurora, the king and queen sent her to live with the three fairies in a hidden cottage in the forest, where she grew up happy and safe. The fairies called her Briar Rose to hide her true identity.
Years passed, and Aurora grew up to be lovely and kind. On her 16th birthday, while walking through the forest, she met a young prince named Philip, and they fell in love at first sight, not knowing who they truly were.
That evening, the fairies took Aurora back to the castle to meet her parents and assume her place as princess. However, upon arriving at the castle, Aurora was magically drawn to a hidden room where Maleficent, disguised as an old woman, waited for her with a spindle.
Curious, Aurora touched the spindle and immediately fell into a deep sleep, just as the curse foretold. The fairies placed Aurora on a bed of flowers at the top of a tower and spread the word that only the kiss of true love could wake her.
When Philip heard what had happened, he set off for the castle, determined to save his beloved. He faced many dangers, including Maleficent, who transformed into a fearsome dragon to stop him. With courage and the help of the fairies, Philip defeated the dragon and reached Aurora.
Seeing her asleep, he approached, gave her a gentle kiss, and immediately, Aurora opened her eyes. The curse was broken! Aurora and Philip reunited with her parents, and everyone in the kingdom celebrated.
Aurora and Philip got married, and the kingdom lived in peace and happiness forever. And so, the story of Sleeping Beauty reminds us that true love has the power to break any curse.
The End.
The moral of the story Sleeping Beauty is that true love has the power to overcome any adversity. It reminds us that love and courage can conquer even the darkest of curses, bringing light and happiness back into our lives.
