Once upon a time, in a faraway kingdom, there lived a kind and gentle girl named Cinderella. She lived with her wicked stepmother and two cruel stepsisters who made her do all the housework and treated her terribly. Cinderella’s only friends were the animals in the garden, especially the birds and mice who loved her dearly.
One day, an announcement came from the palace: the king was holding a grand ball, and every young lady in the kingdom was invited! The prince was looking for a bride, and Cinderella’s stepmother and stepsisters were eager to go. They made Cinderella work extra hard to prepare their dresses, but they wouldn’t let her go to the ball.
Cinderella felt very sad and sat in the garden, crying. Suddenly, her fairy godmother appeared and said:
— Don’t worry, dear Cinderella. You shall go to the ball!
With a wave of her magic wand, the fairy godmother transformed a pumpkin into a magnificent carriage, mice into elegant horses, and Cinderella’s rags into a stunning gown with glass slippers. But there was one condition:
— The magic will only last until midnight. You must return home before the clock strikes twelve.
Excited, Cinderella went to the ball. When she entered the palace, everyone was in awe of her beauty, including the prince. He danced with her all night, and they had a wonderful time together.
But as the clock neared midnight, Cinderella remembered the fairy godmother’s warning. She hurriedly left the palace, and in her rush, she lost one of her glass slippers on the steps.
The prince was determined to find the mysterious girl he had danced with, so he searched the kingdom, trying the glass slipper on every young lady. When he reached Cinderella’s house, her stepsisters tried the slipper, but it didn’t fit. Finally, Cinderella tried it on, and it fit perfectly!
The prince knew she was the one, and they were soon married in a grand celebration. Cinderella’s kindness and gentle spirit were rewarded, and she lived happily ever after with the prince.
The End.
The moral of the story “Cinderella” is that kindness and goodness will be rewarded, even in the face of hardship and cruelty.
